Our Liturgical Tradition

Worship at the Church of the Resurrection is deeply rooted in the Anglican tradition. The word "liturgy" means "the work of the people," and our services are highly participatory. We gather to hear the Word of God read and preached, to pray for our world and our community, and to share in the bread and wine of the Eucharist.

We primarily use the Book of Alternative Services (BAS) for our main Sunday liturgy, which balances modern language with ancient structure. On select occasions, we embrace the timeless poetry of the 1962 Book of Common Prayer (BCP).

Sacraments & Pastoral Rites

Holy Baptism

Baptism is the sacrament of full initiation into the body of Christ. We offer baptism for infants, children, and adults, celebrating new life in God's family.

Holy Matrimony

We rejoice with couples called to the sacrament of marriage. Preparation involves meeting with the clergy to discuss the meaning of Christian marriage.

Pastoral Care

Our clergy provide the rite of Reconciliation (Confession), Anointing of the Sick for healing, and compassionate pastoral visiting during difficult times.
